PERSONALITY: Caitlyn is an individual. She wants to get famous like anyone else, but even though her parents could do it for her, she wants to do it herself. She makes friends very easily being outgoing, but she also makes enemies. She doesn't care, she's got a tough outer shell. She knows when to cherish friends and if they ever need her, she's at their side in seconds ready to help them kick butt or have fun. You can count on her even for emotions which she struggles with on a regular basis. She hates to let anyone down.
FAMILY:
James Gellar - 45 - Father - Successful Business Man
Katherine Gellar - 40 - Mother - Socialite
HISTORY: Caitlyn's parents aren't around very much. She grew up with nannies just like the other kids who have parents similar to her. Katherine didn't want to deal with the messy aspects of raising a child and James just simply wasn't around. During the school year, she goes to a boarding school in southern England just because her parents don't want her around. The school doesn't offer a summer program so she used to be sent home to a boring summer of social events and loneliness until she fell in love with dancing, hip hop in particular as well as mixing music on her lap top. When she found out about Camp Rock she'd decided she had to go. Since it cost a lot her parents didn't even bother to look into it deeply and signed a check signing her up. Now she just sees them for the few days she spends at home at the beginning and end of the year.

ROLEPLAYING EXAMPLE:
Ray didn't get it. How could such a good day turn so awful. She put her sweatshirt down on the damp grass and rolled up her jeans, it was warm out now. Warmer than it had been when she got dressed at least. She pulled her knees to her chest as she sat down, resting her forehead on top of them.
Today had started out insanely well. She had gotten up early to go to Dallas, a publishing company there was interested in one of her many works so she'd headed out there and met with them. They had said they would most certainly consider publishing it and that they would like to see more by the end of the week, so she'd come home sky high and then things took a turn for the worse. Her dad had gotten the results back from some of the tests doctors run on people and he had cancer. More specifically, Leukemia and they had caught it late. No one had noticed any signs of it before so it had been free to spread and it had spread all over. They guessed he had less than a year. She had less than a year with the one person she could depend on for everything.
A few tears slipped down her cheeks, but she couldn't break down. She refused to cry and be weak especially in public. She had to keep a stiff upper lip.
She took a ragged breath and wiped her eyes before looking up and out at the park. It was so pretty and serene here. It almost felt like nothing could be wrong but it was. Every damn thing was wrong. She would have to push the publishing company to the back so she could spend more time with her dad and she still had to be there for Mikey, she couldn't just abandon him right now. He didn't deserve that at all and more people should see that he isn't the one at fault. She rested her chin on her knees knowing that at any given moment someone she knew could find her at her weakest.
Right now, all she wanted was someone to tell her everything was going to be ok, but that's normally what a mom does. There's just a small detail out of place there, her mom had taken off on her awhile ago and she couldn't go to any of her friends. She didn't have any she was close enough to other than Mikey, but he had enough on his plate. He didn't need an emotional Ray on his hands as well. She was stuck and she knew it. Besides, she wouldn't be able to live on her own and soon her dad wouldn't be able to work, she'd have to go to school and work enough to pay the bills. How would she be able to that? She just couldn't handle it and she knew it was true, but what could she do? Find her mom she hasn't heard from in eleven years and ask for her help? That was a last resort thing, besides why would she even care? She obviously hadn't had that much attachment to Ray or her father if she just left like that.
