PERSONALITY: Despite her outgoing exterior, Ashley values close, personal relationships, and she will often put the needs of her besties in front of hers. She is an even paced individual who likes to avoid conflict although her words tend to get her into sticky situations. She tends to be sensitive to criticism but prefers to internalize her feelings rather then expose them. She also has the habit of not thinking before speaking, landing herself in severely awkward situations.
Ashley is a person who is generally light-hearted, funloving, a people person, loves to entertain, spontaneous, and confident. However, she can be day-dreamy and off-task to the point of not accomplishing anything and can be impulsive, possibly acting on whims in an unpredictable fashion.
FAMILY:
• Allie Martin (step-mother)/31
• Caleb Hayes 41
• Ryan Mackenzie Hayes/ 18/ Step brother
HISTORY: Ashley was born into a happy family, consisting of her father and her late mother. Her parents met in law school, and got married shortly after graduation and settled down in the busy beautiful city of New York. When Ash was 5, her mother died of cancer, leaving behind Caleb and Ashley. With his wife gone, Caleb worked doubly hard for the family and at the same time to numb himself. Hence, the father daughter relationship was greatly strained. Their relationship worsened when Caleb decided to start dating again. Ash strongly objected to this because she didn’t want anyone to replace her mother.
When Ash was a junior in High School, her father gave up on trying to make her accept his current girlfriend and decided to marry her. As her father had worked so hard over the years, their lifestyle has greatly improved and they were living it up at the upper east side. Ash had this gut feeling that Allie was only after his new found wealth and not her father. Despite her protest, her father still went on with the marriage. Allie brought her son, Ryan to live with them. Ryan hated Allie and Caleb too for remarrying so you could say the two bonded over that. However, Allie was making severe changes in her house like throwing away her mother’s stuff etc. Her dad did nothing about it and supported his new wife in her decision. Pissed, Ash moved out of the house. She met a friend who recommended for her to be a counselor in Camp Rock. Relieved to throw behind the baggage that she carried, she accepted and came to Camp Rock as a counselor at the age of sixteen.[/ul]

RANDOM FACT: ninjas can’t catch you if you’re on fire!! (:
ROLEPLAYING EXAMPLE:
Dying, was what everyone would face sooner or later. Everyone was slowly dying with every breath they inhaled. All the smoke and carbon would kill them eventually, death didn’t really scare Ashley. To her, you die and people just shed some tears for you. Soon all will be forgotten and you’ll just be another memory. Why not make those memory something to remember. She watched Holly’s cigarette burning, an unreadable expression on her face. Looking up slowly, upon hearing Holly’s dry laugh. She looked down again, back at the bud.
Ashley looked back at the girls’, letting out an obviously fake apologetic smile waving at them. She couldn’t stand cliquey girls who thought that their clique was everything. She silently picked out the leader of the group. Every clique had their leader, and for this group. It was so obvious that the one with the loud bright red leggings and pink hair was the one. Her pointy arrogant nose stuck high up as the rest of the girls followed behind. Next to her, matching up to her pace was probably the second in command. The girl was watching the leader silently, chewing her gum hoping to attend to her every need. It was really stupid how some girls would do anything for the ‘queen’ no matter how demeaning it was.
Her attention snapped back to Holly when she spoke. Listening to her comment about the Smashing Pumpkins, she nodded in agreement. “A friend huh?” she commented implyingly, “Yup you definitely got the long end of the stick for this one”. The thought never crossed her mind that Holly might have once been in a rocky relationship. Ashley took pretty long to put two and two together, but it still didn’t bother her.
Turning back to Holly after Luke disappeared out of sight, she saw her expression. If she wasn’t wrong, Holly probably thought she was nuts, waving to random people like that. She let out a laugh, Ashley was definitely different from this scene but she was determined to make that a good thing.
It was hard not to notice the silence in the air, despite the other noises coming from the rest of the people. Ashley couldn’t decide if it was a awkward silence or a comfortable silence so she settled for in between. She kept the silence there, waiting to see if Holly was going to say anything. To her delight, she did.
Her face fell slightly as Holly asked about how she got to music. Ashley thought that she would be okay with her past but now she realized she never really got over it. Whatever it’s just like a story she told herself, “I found music because I promised someone that I would make something out of myself,” she said simply, it was the shortest way she could put her life story without having to bore anyone with some pathetic sob story. “That reason and I love this type of life” she added with a smile, which was true.
