extra information
DISLIKES: coming to this camp, talking to boring people, clothes shopping, chocolate, or the cold
PERSONALITY: shane would describe himself in a very different way others would. in his opinion, he's one word: awesome. others have a little but more to say about this, well, character. in some ways, shane is a snob. he's the total celebrity kid, because that's the only way he's ever known how to act around people. so he's a jerk to them, always getting what he wants. but underneath his hard exterior is a guy who's actually kind of nice. he wasn't always a douche, he wasn't always a player, or some macho guy who's full of himself. one day, he had been a kid who loved vanilla ice cream and playing in the pool. one day, he'd loved the ocean. maybe deep down there's still a nice guy, but as far as anybody else knows, he's just a loser.
FAMILY: no family, just two parents that were gone too much, a grandma who he hardly ever got to see, and his nana, who was more of a mother to him than anyone else. and a cousin he hardly sees.
HISTORY: god, let's just make this short. do i have to start at the very beginning? okay, on may 19th, 1993 i came out of my mothers birth canal. it has another name but i won't be so crude. i grew up with my nana, who wasn't my grandmother, if you were wondering. i hardly ever got to see her. no, my nana was my maid, and she paid more attention to me than either of my parents. and one day, i met my friends who also turned out to be good at music, and then we started a band, and now we're on tour. except lately we haven't been so hot. it's more than that, we haven't gotten a break in ages. so now we're here. i'm still stunned.

ROLEPLAYING EXAMPLE:
there might have been one day when natalie could have come to the park whenever she liked. now, days like this seemed sacred, and something that had to be celebrated when you got the chance. and since the theatre had just finished the production of "to kill a mockingbird" she was off for a couple days until they finished casting for the next production of les miserables. secretly, she would have wanted to audition for a part. it wouldn't have even had to be a lead, just to be on stage again. sure, she loved working backstage and working on the set, but sometimes it just wasn't enough for her. acting had always been her passion in junior high and high school. some parts of her wanted it back, but some of her had already given it up. no matter, there was still some sort of longing deep inside her to go back to center stage.
natalie sighed and rearranged herself on the blanket she had brought to the park a couple blocks down from brynn and hers loft. had it been a mistake to come here? alone? did she look like a loser just sitting alone in the park with no one to talk to or lie down with? in some ways she didn't like the loneliness, but in other ways it was comforting. nat always surrounded herself with so many people, not that it bothered her. she loved people. they were fascinating. their stories interested her. she loved to talk to them, to listen to their voices. for some reason the noise was satisfying. but also, she needed her downtime just like any sane person did. it was good she had brought her ipod so that she didn't look like she was a outcast, though.
inserting her earpods, natalie leaned back, looking up at the sky. it was a cloudy day, but usually they were. she didn't mind. as long as she knew the sun was always shining right behind she was okay. closing her eyes, nat let the music flood through her body like warm coffee on a winter day. piano and harps always sounded better with your eyes closed, there were no distractions to blockade your senses from the sound. it was so perfect, lying like this, just thinking. but a sense of regret began to climb through her, sending slight chills down her spine. she wanted that part. but she couldn't have it. she knew it. nat opened her eyes immediately, wanting to be accompanied by someone. anyone. now.
