extra information
DISLIKES: working, his family's state, his father's death, dropping out of school, unfairness
PERSONALITY: Luke is a very kind guy. He is a hard-worker, and is very fair. He's very determined, and very caring about the few people he holds close. He isn't really a socialite, and more likes to have few close friends than many distant ones. He's been a counselor at Camp Rock for two years, this being his third, and enjoys his job, though he works hard enough to make sure that he gets paid, because the money is all he's in it for. He is a very organized person, and is very on-top of things, but isn't really a nuissance because of it. He's used to not getting his way, but he can be very persistent when he really wants something important. Overall, Luke is a well-rounded guy, and every girl at camp knows it.
FAMILY: Eliza Lafferty nee Devereux - Mother, 40
Daniel Lafferty - Father, Deceased
HISTORY: Luke James Lafferty was born to Eliza and Daniel Lafferty on August 13st, 1991. He had a very average childhood, growing up around his parents and the few friends in his neighborhood. He excelled in music class, being a good dancer and singer. He was hopeless with instruments, but it was said that he made up with it with his voice. He passed his grades with good marks, being one of the tops in his class. He was never good at sports, but he had never had an interest in them anyway. He went through the years the same way, going from elementary school to middle school and then to high school. When he was a sophmore in high school, he had just turned sixteen, his father died in a car crash. His mother, devastated by the loss of her husband, ended up losing her job, and turning to alcohol for the solution to all her problems, leaving Luke to drop out of school and get odd jobs around the city. He did this for the next three years, getting a job at Camp Rock for during the summer. He supported himself and his mother, and made sure that she was, at least, surviving. This summer, he's back at Camp Rock, trying to keep supporting himself and his alcoholic mother.

RANDOM FACT: Music and watching certain television shows is what inspires my characters and their personalities, which is why I watch them/listen to them while writing certain posts to get muse for them. And if I try to listen to a song that isn't what inspired them, then I lose my muse for the character completely.
ROLEPLAYING EXAMPLE:
Luke gave an aggravated sigh as he walked down to the lake. He was so sick of calling home, and getting a dial tone. It freaked him out when his mother didn't answer the home. He knew it was bad to leave her at home by herself all summer, but what choice did he have? With all the high schoolers grabbing up the summer jobs like children and candy from a pinata, and him with no diploma or degree to go get a good job made it a requirement for him to travel elsewhere to find enough money to send home to pay the bills. And half of the time, his mother used the money to feed her habit! It agonized him, but he couldn't exactly do anything to stop her. He didn't know how to get her to stop, because she wouldn't listen to him, and so he left her alone. He had tried to hire a psychologist, but he didn't make enough to handle their costs.
He sighed as he got to the lake, pulling off his shirt, and throwing it to the side of the dock where his towel now lay, knowing that most of the kids wouldn't be here, but would be in their classes, of sorts. He knew that maybe one of the counselors would be around, but he doubted the lake. Even though the day was really hot, they were probably taking a well-deserved break in their cabins or something. He spent most of his time in the outdoors, exploring the forests or walking around camp, while he wasn't doing his job. He took a deep breath and ran from his position and jumped into the lake, head first. The cold water was jolting, and very pleasant on a day like today. His head popped up, and his blonde hair looked darker with the water.` He shook it slightly, getting the excess water out and rubbing at his eyes. It was so refreshing.
Luke swam a few laps, and then just floated on his back. It was refreshing to have both the sun on him and be in the water. He felt eyes on him, but he pretended that he didn't. He hated being stared at, which happened quite often when he was at Camp Rock, since, after all, he was a counselor. He thought of himself as an average talent, and didn't really think that he would've even had enough talent to get into Camp Rock as a regular camper, but no one knew that except for his father, who had taken that secret with him to the grave. Luke suddenly shivered and swam back over to the edge of the lake, pulling himself up and out of it. He hated thinking of his father. He and his dad been really close, and when he had died, Luke's life had gone to hell. Not that he had told anyone that. Of course, his friends had gotten worried, but he had acted alright, for them, and for his mother. He had to stay strong, if only for his mom. He rolled his eyes as he grabbed his towel, which had been thrown to the side of the dock. He ruffled it through his hair with a slight frown on his face. His thoughts had ruined his mood, for the moment.
