Nathan walked along the path toward the outdoor practice area, no one was there, so he figured this would be a nice place to practice and get some sun at the same time. He went over and sat on the edge of the stage, placing a notebook next to him, as he strummed his guitar a little bit, getting it in tune. He hummed a bit as he strummed chords, trying to locate a note for him to begin on. He strummed a bit more as he started to quietly sing.
"I want someone to love me For who I am I want someone to need me Is that so bad' I want a brake of madness But it's all I have I want someone to love me For who I am Nothing makes sense, nothing makes sense anymore Nothing is right, nothing is right when you're gone I'm losing my breath, I'm losing my right to be wrong I'm frightened to death, I'm frightened that I won't be strong"
He wasn't really sure where he got the idea for the song, but Nate liked it, he then wrote down what he had played, before he started to replay it. He reread what he wrote. It seemed to work, but he needed more, but Nate liked what he had written down already, he strummed the guitar randomly, just letting random chords play, as he lightly hit the side of the stage with his foot, before he brushed his curls from his face as he looked up at the sky. Katherine ran a hand through her dark hair as she wandered around the camp in silence. She needed to find something to do and she needed to find it now. Whenever Kat became bored, shoe became more restless and bouncy then she normally was, and that was never a good thing. Kat's behavior tended to get on some peoples nerves, she was filled with so much energy, it usually resulted in her pranking someone, so yes she needed to find something to do. The seventeen year old bit the bottom of her lip as she thought of what to do when she herd the faint strumming of a guitar near the practice area. Kat questioned whether she should go over or not for just a moment before making her way over without hesitation. she didn't want to disturb whoever was practicing, but it was better than pranking someone she didn't know well enough to prank she guessed.
It didn't take long for the short girl to head over, but when she arrived she was met with the intense site of Nate writing a song. Kat refrained from squealing in delight and tried to calm herself, a bit annoyed that she was acting like such a stalker fan girl, but it wasn't every day that you came across the Nathan Johnson from Connect Three... well at camp rock you sort of did, but she hadn't ever really been alone with him so it was a bit nerve racking. Kat took a deep breath trying to calm herself for a moment and rolled her eyes. 'this is ridiculous, he's just another guy.' she told herself in her head which seemed to do the trick.
"Um... hey, you're Nate right? that's your name? I'm Katherine, everyone calls me Kat with a K not a c." She said giving him a smile.

Nate was a bit lost in his own world when he heard someone say something. A girl to be exact. 'please don't be a crazy fan.' Nate thought to himself, as he looked over at the girl so he didn't come off to be rude. That wasn't the kind of person Nate was, he just hated being stalked by fans, even though he knew being here at camp, it was bound to happen a lot. But hey, can't blame a guy for hoping for a bit of peace. He gave the girl. Katherine, or as she explained Kat, a small smile of his own, he never smiled with his teeth, but that didn't mean he never smiled. "Yeah, I'm Nate." He told her lightly, his shyness appearing a little bit. Yes, Nathan Jeremiah Johnson, member of Connect Three was shy. He didn't really care if people knew, though it was weird, he could perform without a problem but talking to people he always got a bit...shy and nervous.
But Kat here seemed sane enough, Nate didn't really think he'd have a problem talking to her. Plus if she suddenly went off....fan crazed he'd just politely dismiss himself and go back to his cabin. Or he'd go and try to find Shane, he knew that he was around here somewhere, though then again Shane was sort of being a bit temperamental about having to be here at Camp Rock. You'd think being back here where Shane, Jason and himself all met. But Shane was...Shane so he might as well not worry about it or anything. Nate focused his attention back onto Katherine so he didn't zone out on her, that would be rude to do. "Go ahead and sit down if you want." Nate told her as he gestured to the stage next to him as he closed the notebook next to him. "Unless...you're just passing by.." He said, not wanting to make it seem like he was forcing her to stay, that wasn't his intention, he was just trying to be polite.

Kat watched Nate for a moment the smile never leaving her face as she did so, he looked like he was thinking about something or other and she really didn't want to bother him. The appending boredom that seemed to loom over her head however wasn't something she was willing to submit to just yet. When he invited her to sit, her smile grew just a bit, but she refrained from doing so and shook her head. It's not that she was going anywhere or anything she just couldn't. "I can't, I'm not leaving I just don't feel comfortable sitting of stage, it's weird for me." She said honestly, preforming was what a stage was for not sitting, it was something her mother had decided to drill into her head and it still hadn't left her.
Kat ran a hand though her hair knowing that she probably seemed a bit... off then most girls by saying that, but she didn't care. She knew she was bored and she was being honest. Kat glanced down at her shoes for a moment and rolled her eyes at her own lameness, there was a hundred percent guarantee that by the end of this conversation she was either going to fall flat on her face, or come off as a weird sort of silly girl, and she was hoping it would be the second choice rather than the first. Falling on your face in front of not only a cute guy, by a famous cute guy was something she just wasn't up to doing. Kat spaced out for a quick moment and rolled her eyes at herself once again before looking at Nate. "So... what's your favorite movie?" She asked him knowing how random that was, but if it wasn't random it wasn't Katherine. "A person's favorite movie says a lot about them, like... Ok mine is Faris Buller's Day Off which means not only am I awesome, I'm fun and adventurous and a troublemaker." She said matter of factually with a smile.

Nate gave a small shrug when she denied sitting down, he wasn't going to force her to sit down if she didn't want to. Some people weren't comfortable sitting on a stage. He was just someone who was able to sit, stand on a stage. He loved performing, but sometimes he wanted to take a break from it, be a normal boy. He pushed those thoughts from his head, no need to worry about things like that for the time being. He'd chose to come out here and he was going to enjoy it. He strummed his guitar a bit, not playing it, just something for his hands to do. When Kat asked him what his favorite movie was, he was a bit taken back. Normally if people were going to ask a question, it'd be something more...worth knowing. He gave a small smile as she describe the reasoning behind wanting to know. "Well, if a person's favorite movie can tell a lot about them...what does it tell about me if i say my favorite movie is Juno?" Nate asked her.
He knew it was strange that he liked that movie, but he liked that one, though he did like Paranormal Activity a bit...though he guessed Juno was more of his favorite movie. "And Faris Buller's Day Off, i don't think i've ever seen that movie, maybe i'll make note to try and watch it one of these days." He added, as he realized he'd never actually seen the movie she had told her. "And a troublemaker...should I be worried?" He asked, teasing just a bit, he normally wasn't open but this girl hadn't freaked out yet so he let his guard down a bit. Not a whole lot, but he did a bit, never a problem to make friends, it was always a good thing to do. He just hoped no one saw and rumors spread that he was dating someone, god, that was the last thing he wanted. People needed lives that did not include spreading rumors and or lies about him and his band mates. If they wanted their lives told, they'd do it themselves. Katherine ran a hand through her hair for just a moment as she thought quietly to herself. She was a fun person to hang around with, very energetic and smart, but her silliness made her a bit... what was the word, ditsy at times which made people assume she was stupid. She was seen as the slack off, the prankster the joker out of all of her sisters and the eldest of the three of them Breena looked down on her for it, causing them to fight a lot. She loved her sisters dearly but sometimes she wished she could just hit Bree over the head with a frying pan and leave her there to be dragged off by chimps. The girl was freakishly competitive and always had the need to be better than everyone else which was annoying as hell. Here however she didn't want Nate to think she was a crazed fan, because she wasn't, if anything she remembered a long time ago having a thing for Shane, but that was long gone and she also didn't want him to think of her as ditsy because she certainly wasn't, she wasn't the smartest out of her sisters but she sure as hell wasn't dumb.
A slightly confused looked briefly crossed over the girls features as she wondered why she was thinking so much but Nate's voice dragged her out of her haze and she smiled at him. "Well personally I liked Juno, it was cute, but it means you have taste cause Michael Cera is awesome." She said laughing a bit, now if she ever met Michael Cera then she would freak. "No I think it means that, there's more to you that people think there is, that's hard to see." She said looking at him with a soft smile on her face, but she was semi serious. "what I mean is it's a simple movie, very blunt to the point a lot of hectic dysfunction and you can get the point of it very easy, but there's just something about it that makes you like it." She explained tucking a piece of her dark hair behind her ear. She was a weird one that Katherine and had a weird way of reading people, but she could in a way.
Katherine looked at the guy next to her with wide eyes and gave him a bit of a shocked looked. Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one of the single greatest movies of the 80's. It was great and besides The Producers one of Matthew Broderick's greatest acting performances, in her opinion any way. She gave him a smile after a moment and rolled her eyes. "Nathan Johnson, you've traveled like everywhere and preformed like a billion times and you've never seen one of the greatest films of 1986 starring the legendary Matthew Broderick? It was like one of the only great movies of the late 80's that didn't star Molly Ringwald." She said very amused. Honestly Katherine knew she was talking a bit much, but it was the movie after all, she drove her sisters crazy when it was movie night, and she even put it on her Ipod. "Sorry, I'm a huge late 80's movie type person, actually I'm a huge movie person. Besides music, theater is the greatest expression of ones self." She said rolling her eyes at herself.
A smirk crossed over the girls face as she thought about her trouble making ways. Of course she would never get anyone she really cared about or liked to hang out with in any serious trouble, but things always seemed to go funny when she was around. Katherine had more fun than anyone knew and liked to play pranks on those willing to laugh at themselves, which was a bit off at times. "Well you should defiantly not be worried, I'm awesome, just harmless pranks and things." She explained shrugging it off.
